How to Get Rid of Rosacea Naturally – Treat Rosacea the Right Way

Rosacea is one of the most common skin disorders and affects about 13 Million Americans. An afflicted individual’s face will develop pustules, papules and spider veins and usually take on a characteristic redness that appears like a permanent flush or blush. The disease, however, doesn’t only affect the patient physically but also emotionally, as it adversely affects an individual’s self-esteem.
In order to get rid of rosacea naturally:
1. Eliminate dietary triggers by reducing or eliminating refined carbohydrates, sugar, fast foods, processed foods (which are high in sugar and unnatural man-made fats like trans-fats and hydrogenated oils) and sodas from your diet. Avoid spicy foods and alcoholic beverages. You might also need to eliminate dairy products.
2. Don’t use soap or shampoo on your face. Instead, use a mild cleanser without any irritating substances like parabens, alcohol or fragrance, but don’t overdo it; once a day is enough (before going to bed, for instance). Otherwise it might irritate your skin. It’s not necessary to cleanse your face more often if you adhere to good hygiene practices, such as not touching your face with unwashed hands, changing towels every day and using a separate towel for your face.
3. Don’t use makeup! 99.99% of all makeup products will irritate your skin. If you can live without a concealer, do so. If you can’t, only use it very sparingly for spot treatment (that’s what a concealer is intended for anyway, after all it’s not a foundation).
4. Don’t use sunscreen! Sunscreens always (no matter how natural a company claims their products are) contain unnatural chemicals your body is not used to (genetically). The natural way: Seek shade or use an umbrella. But doesn’t the sun cause skin cancer, you might ask? No, it doesn’t! (Otherwise the regions where people spend most of their time in the sun would show the highest incidents of skin cancer, which is not the case; it’s rather the other way around.) That’s what skin care companies tell you to make you buy their products. All human beings are (genetically) “made” (evolution, remember?) to withstand the sun. Actually, the sun is extremely important for many reasons, one of which is the production of the cancer-fighting Vitamin D. We even have a very effective alert system: If we get too much sun, we get sunburned (and many, if not most, sunscreens block only UVB rays, which cause the sunburn; thereby disabling our “built-in” warning system, which leads to too much UVA irradiation, which eventually causes cancer). So enjoy the sun (without sunscreen!), but don’t get sunburned. Once your face starts to get red, seek shade. Rosacea symptoms get better with sun exposure (in moderation), not worse! Don’t let the initial flushing scare you. You eventually won’t flush anymore, once your skin gets used to it. It also depends on what you eat, meaning, once you start eating the right food, the sun won’t be a trigger for flushing anymore.
5. Exercise! Don’t use a little flushing as an excuse to not work out. The flushing will subside over time (if you eat the right food).
